Nike x Supreme Air Force One AF1 High fall winter 2014

Are Supreme and Nike are back at it again?

Today marks the first drop of the Supreme New York Fall/Winter 2014 season and pictures have already surfaced depicting a Supreme x Nike AF1 high in black and white. The sneakers are decked out with “World Famous” and “94” on the back heel tab (1994 was the year Supreme first opened). After the chaos of last years Supreme x Nike Foamposite one, I can see hype beasts grabbing their chairs and tents now!

Do you think the photos are legit? With these two street wear giants collaborate on yet another sneaker? Only time will tell! Thanks to @korange_market for the photos.

Happy Halloween from Rare Vintage Wear and Sneakerglossary.com! In honor of the special holiday, we would like to give you a brief history lesson on Nike’s vast history of Halloween inspired sneakers.

It all began in 1998 with the first pair of Halloween inspired Nike Air Force One Sneakers, a jewel edition to be exact! The Halloween black/saftey orange released in fall 1998 as a General Release.

It took Nike 7 years to release another Halloween Sneaker; In fall 2005, Nike released their second Halloween inspired Air Force One sneaker. This time the kicks were decked out in all patent leather and featured a pondering skeleton on the side. Personally, these are my favorite in the collection and were very hard to come by. They released as a quickstrike in 2005.

As the popularity of Air Force One’s reached an all-time high in 2006, Nike took advantage of the oppurtunity and released three Halloween inspired AF1’s that year, two for men and one for women! They stole a page from the 05′ design and released a pair of half orange half black patent leather sneakers featuring the same skull design on the side.

Nike also released the Frankenstein Air Force one’s in October 2006, another personal favorite of mine!

And for the female sneakerheads out there, Nike dropped a pair of women’s Halloween AF1’s in 2006.

Finally, in October of 2009, Nike released another quickstrike Air Force one in honor of Halloween. The Savage Beast edition. The kicks were Made up of faux horse hair slightly resembling a pumpkin or monster? Who knows!
